Women entrepreneurs will get loan of Rs 10-lakh
Monthly pension for single, divorced and sexual minorities will increase from Rs 600 to Rs 800
The government plans to increase the presence of women in industry, offering them support in the form of loans for their businesses.
Bommai announced that a direct loan of Rs 10 lakh will be given to female entrepreneurs and female-led startups identified by the Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society.
These loans will be provided through the Karnataka State Women Development Corporation. Also, the government has decided to train 300 female graduates from the SC/ST community to help them become entrepreneurs. This will be facilitated by IIM, Bengaluru.
The monthly pension for single, divorced and sexual minorities will increase from Rs 600 to Rs 800.
As a result, 1.32 lakh beneficiaries will benefit, the CM said. In addition, the monthly pension for female acid victims will increase from Rs 3,000 to Rs 10,000, he added.
