Liv Morgan talks about becoming WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion and making money in the bank

Liv Morgan made an appearance on WWE After The Bell with Corey Graves to discuss a wide range of topics, including winning the SmackDown Women’s Title after defeating Ronda Rousey at the Money in the Bank event. Here are the highlights:

Why she thinks it was time for her to win Money in The Bank:

“I believe that what you put into the universe is what you take out of it. I kind of made a point of mentioning last year how ready I felt. Even though I did, I still had my doubts. I still had moments of doubt deep inside me wondering if I was good enough, if I was really ready, even if I wanted to be so badly.

“Fast forward to this year over the past couple of months, just naturally I felt my confidence and self-confidence took it to a whole new level. It was like an inner feeling. I have l feel like over the last six or seven months I’ve really got my bearings in the ring and I just have more of an inner belief that I can be a champion and I’m going to be a champion and I’m great in the ring ring and I’m great on the mic. Just kind of more positive self-talk that really, really resonated and kind of catapulted me mentally to the next level to feel like there’s no doubt in my mind that I’m ready. That’s kind of how I’ve been maneuvering the last few months. My mindset kind of changed, and it went from, ‘I want it so bad and I think I’m ready to “I want this more than I want to breathe and I know I’m ready.”

Win the SmackDown Women‘s Championship:

“It was a whirlwind. It all just seems very surreal. I mean, it’s just crazy how the universe lays out your plan for you. Thinking back to last year, I thought I was going to win Money in the Bank. I thought it was my time. I was so confident and then I didn’t win. Fast forward to this year, I entered Money in the Bank, same thing hoping this was my year. I will win this year. I was so determined. I literally wanted nothing more than to walk into Money in the Bank and leave Miss Money in the Bank. I won Money in the Bank, and it’s the most overwhelming feeling I’ve ever had in my life.
