Hall High School alumni receive scholarships from philanthropic educational organization – We-Ha

Two West Hartford’s Hall High School graduates awarded Chapter D scholarships, PEO

PEO (Philanthropic Educational Organization) celebrates the women who have helped women reach the stars for over 150 years. Since its inception in 1869, the non-profit organization has helped more than 116,000 women pursue their educational goals by providing more than $ 383 million in grants, scholarships, prizes and loans.

Lily zhang (left) is the recipient of the STAR scholarship. She continued her studies at Duke University. Lily is accompanied by Donna Lamoureux who presented the award at the Hall High School Awards evening.

Akshatha Nair (right) is the recipient of the Chapter D, PEO scholarship. She continued her studies at the University of Connecticut majoring in Computer Science and Engineering. Akshatha is joined by Bette Marafino (right) who presented the award at the Hall High School Awards evening.
