For the ninth year in a row, Discover has achieved a perfect score of 100 and was named the best workplace for LGBTQ+ equality by the Human Rights Campaign’s annual Corporate Equality Index, a comparative survey and a report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality. The PRIDE Group helps lead the marketing efforts behind the design of Discover’s rainbow card, known as the Discover it® Pride Card. These efforts led to a 26% year-over-year increase in Pride cards issued in 2021 compared to 2020.

- Encourage employees to add their personal pronouns to their signatures to raise awareness of the value of pronouns and open the door to conversations
- Support employees making gender transitions by creating a gender transition toolkit, transition advocacy group, and transgender and gender non-binary training through the DE&I team
- Partnered with GenderCool to review policies and practices to design equitable non-binary gender and transgender programs
- Removal of the $75,000 lifetime cap on gender transition coverage for employees enrolled in a Discover medical plan
